Starting December 12, 2022, the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy program will be accepting referrals for treatment for Burlington adults experiencing mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related concerns. Free, short-term care will be provided by therapists in-person and virtually through a partnership with CMHA Halton Region.

OSP offers evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to adults (aged 18 years or older). The program uses a stepped-care approach and includes self-led strategies and one-on-one or group therapy. Treatment is matched to the level of care that best meets an individual’s needs. It is not suited to individuals with complex or severe mental health and addictions that require a high degree of care.

Referrals to OSP can be made through the Ocean eReferral Network by searching for “OSP West”.

Visit OSPWest.ca for more information and to access fax/email referral forms.

The OSP program is in addition to the psychotherapy services provided by Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH), Burlington Family Health Team (BFHT), Thrive Group, and Canadian Mental Health Association.  If you are unsure whether to send a referral to OSP or one of the existing services, please use the Joint BFHT/JBH referral form. Referrals will be triaged and forwarded to the appropriate organization.
