Community Resources
If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, such as severe chest pain and weakness, difficulty breathing and losing consciousness, call 9-1-1 or go to the emergency department.
The Burlington Ontario Health Team has created a guide to assist community members in accessing services. These community services include primary care, walk-in clinics, community resources, urgent care and more.
Primary Care
If you have a primary care provider, first check with your family doctor or nurse practitioner clinic to see if they are able to see you.
If you do not have a primary care provider, please refer to these resources that may help you find a primary care provider.
Health811
If you are unable to see your primary care provider or you do not have a primary care provider, connect with a registered nurse for free, secure, confidential high-quality care and avoid unnecessary visits to the emergency room. Available 24/7. Visit Health811 website for more information or call 811 (TTY: Dial 7-1-1 via relay services (or 1-800-855-0511) and ask for 811).
